The Kink addresses the same target audience as the Wall, but the directional sidecut and tip & tail rocker make it playful and more forgiving. True joker for the park & pipe and on the groomed slopes as well.
Daydreaming of riding kinked rails all day? Get out to the park and lay down your favorite kinked rail trick with style and ease on the Völkl Kink Skis. The Kink is Völkl's most versatile all mountain twin tip ski, and features tip and tail rocker for easy transitions in the pipe and stylish moves in the park.
Tip and Tail Rocker - A slight rocker bend in the tip and tail, complemented by traditional camber under foot. This slight rocker profile, combined with classic camber gives you the ideal blend for frontside carving. Easy, smooth turn entry and exit, with acceleration and rebound as well. While not as maneuverable in soft snow as Völkl's full rocker designs, this rocker design works well on hard snow or in the park and pipe.
Multi-Layer Sensorwood - Created in a complex CNC milling process, a highly sophisticated milling program enables Völkl to produce wood cores with extreme precision. It is 'extended' upwards and lengthwise, and milled to form chambers for the vertical sidewalls and torsion box. The material is a blend of poplar and beech wood, and is found in Völkl's highest performing models.
Tough Box Construction - Tough Box Construction features a multi-layered wood core wrapped with a composite/fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for Völkl’s freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.
